I bought the Oakter Mini UPS for 12V WiFi Router / Broadband Modem because our area has frequent short outages, and I was tired of losing internet when switching to phone data. Overall I’m pleased with its performance, though there are a few caveats.—✅ What I Like1. Reliable Switch-Over – When mains power goes out, this UPS switches immediately — no flicker or manual intervention. The router stays online smoothly.2. Compact & Neat Design – It’s fairly small, sits nicely beside the router. Doesn’t add much bulk, and the build feels solid. The finish is clean, no rough edges.3. Safety & Battery Quality – Comes with surge protection, safeguards against deep discharge, etc. The battery (Li-ion 18650) feels of decent quality. Not heavy, doesn’t heat up excessively during use.4. Decent Backup Time (Conditional)With a router that draws ~1 A, I get around 3 hours of uptime during outages. That’s very helpful for working from home or for streaming when power blips happen.5. Good Support & Warranty – The 1-year warranty gives peace of mind. Also, the seller has been responsive when I emailed about a product replacement.

Good backup for 1 year
It is good to use for 1-1.5 years but the power backup reduces drastically after that. When it was new I remember it almost gave backup of about 45 to 60 mins… Which was really impressive. But now after few years I hardly have 5 minutes of backup which is only enough to pause the work in between so that nothing gets lost. The quality is good and easy to install. Compatible with multiple wifi boxes. I myself have used it with airtel and elxer box. It is value for money as it gives enough backup for 1 year. Which is quite good for the price. It does gets warm if your wifi is switched on 24×7 and stays warm like this… Better to have it vebtilated as battery backup is affected by heating issues.

### Honest Review: Good Product, But Battery Life DisappointsI purchased this product on 12th October 2025 and was quite excited to try it out after reading that it supposedly lasts for up to 4 hours on a single charge. However, in reality, it only lasts around 2 hours for me, which was a bit disappointing considering the advertised performance.The product has been on charge for six straight days, so it wasn’t a charging issue. The battery just doesn’t seem to hold as much as promised. In a metro city where long power cuts are rare, so the shorter battery life is still somewhat manageable for daily use.In terms of design and basic functionality, the product works well enough. It’s compact, easy to use, and does the job it claims—just not for as long as expected. From a pricing perspective, it’s an okay purchase if you don’t mind recharging frequently. But if you rely on long battery hours, this might not be the best choice for you.Overall, it comes down to personal preference. If you can compromise on battery life and convenience of continuous use, it’s a decent product. Otherwise, you might want to explore alternatives with stronger battery performance.

Great product, that you forget about once plugged in
There are certain product which when plugged in and you forget about it, Oakter UPS is one of that product, ever since I have bought it 3 months back, I have forgotten about it cause that’s how well it operates when there is a power cut and there is seamless connection to my internet without any interruption, it’s very light weight, quality seems sturdy enough , and it’s definitely value for money product, hopefully it should be durable in long run

Best Ups for your Router
This is so sick think, it helps me a lot in my village. When there rainy season or due to any issue electricity is not available then will give power to turn on your WiFi router for atleast 4 hours, it can give you more than 4 hours some times but it basically gives max to max 5 hours which is quite good thing. And pricing is also good. Performance is good, easy to setup. In the box you’ll get 2 types of port so you can use it according to your router.
