Although it’s a Chinese product, but the quality of the product is not compromised, its definitely a heavy duty item. It took me a while to find out for what reason the blue part below is revolving, turns out it is to clean the mesh from particles on it. Seller was also very corporative with helping installation. all the parts mentioned in the description are supplied to me.edit 1 still working fine.edit 2 works loke charm

It does the job as mentioned but not thoroughly, don’t think all large solids are being taken care of but has reduced the silt quiet significantly. No effect on hardness. Cleaning the steel filter is a bit tedious. Knob to let off the collected dirt didn’t work ( needs to be taken out n cleaned)Sometimes I feel some water escapes right at the start without being filtered.( I could feel the distal pipe filling even before this apparatus filled). Lil small than I imagined. Motor gets worked up a little more. When not cleaned it may almost completely block flow of water thru it and give a false sense of water being filled in tank especially if u have an overhead tank with poor visibility of water inflow pipe.

Most people would install this product outdoor. Since the housing is transparent, algae formation is inevitable with exposure to sunlight. This info of ‘use only in indoor’ is mentioned in user manual but not in the product description pages of amazon. Secondly, product quality is such that it wouldn’t withstand pressure if connected between pump and overhead tank. Even if connected to outlet of the tank, it can’t take entire load of an household. Doesn’t sound practical to put one such filter for each of the water outlets in the house. However, it looks perfect as a prefilter for any drinking water filtration system – guess what, the user manual too says it! All RO’s have 3 level filtering and since most RO vendors install the same with some default prefilters, the purpose of this elegant product is defeated and can find apt application nowhere. Thirdly, the wall mount clamp is the stupid ever design you can find. Once the the filter housing sits on the clamp, the housing can never be unscrewed for cleaning purpose. It’s insane to dismantle the setup every time you want to remove the filter cartridge.

The item arrived on time and was well packaged. I received a help video from the makers (Made in India) even before receiving the item. They were very helpful and answered all my doubts before I bought the filter. I wish all sellers were as good.This filter has partially solved my problem of getting muddy water in my tank during the monsoon. I would have liked a finer filter but could not buy it as my pump pressure would have damaged it. This one does the job as a lot of the TSD are removed. Fairly easy to fit. I used a plumber and it took him just 1 hour. Price is a bit on the high side.So far, I am happy with the purchase.

Where can I get the plastic housing only?
I’m using this filter since 2020. Working excellent. But now the filter housing got cracked and leaking water. I don’t know where to find the plastic housing or replacement of it.
