After watching alot of DIY videos, I hacked my GE fridge so I could use these without the kind with the chip which cost several times more! These work and fit perfectly but be sure to use the hack or that you don’t need the kind with the electronic chip.

Since I installed tis filter, the water tastes bad and my wife refuses it drink it. I am going to go to Home Depot and get the real thing. You have a good price but what good is it if you can’t drink the water.The filter I received is RPWF TIER 1- RWF 1063-2 PK. I have been buying non-GE filters for my fridge for several years to save some $ and i seems as soon as I find one that fits/works, the filter is discontinued or the vendor changes the design where it connects to my fridge. I recently found this one and it connects perfectly and the water tastes good. Will be buying several of these in case the same thing happens with this vendor.
