Just installed in my GE fridge. Fits like a pro, ran a couple of gallons through it and it tastes great. If your fridge needs the RFID chip use the simple lifeh@ck to make this one work, super easy.

My GE refrigerator requires a XWFE water filter, and this XWF filter is not compatible… unless you know the hack.If you search for the hack, you’ll find the process is simple and will save you a lot of money. Physically, the two filters are identical, but this XWF filter does not have the required microchip. The chip is embedded on the OEM filter’s label.By simply placing the XWFE label from the original filter in the right position on this XWF filter, the refrigerator thinks it’s an OEM and it functions exactly the same. The hack easily lasts for years, by simply carrying the label over. I covered mine in packing tape to make it easy for future transplants.

This filter works great. I need the E model for my fridge, but I just take the old RFID sticker off the original and put it on this so the water still works. Without the sticker your water won’t dispense. Just make sure to put it in the correct location when you replace it, it comes off easily. This saves me a ton of money and I get fresh filters!
